Phonetic Alphabet: When you're on a phone call with poor sound quality, it can be a challenge to get the spelling of an unusual word or web site clarified. B, D, P and T can all sound the same with enough interference. Coming up with random words on the fly can be amusing, but using the standard NATO or Western Union alphabetic words to help clarify the letters may sound a little more professional, which is why we keep them here, closely tied to our standard home page...
